Overview

A record of the construction of Archive003, built around the track “supreme bliss.” A Max/MSP patch, a photographed studio, generated organic mutations, C-language structures and a browser timeline were reorganized into one continuous audiovisual work.

Development Sequence

01 / signal_system
Integrated Bounce
The musical structure begins in Max/MSP. Direct music, delayed speech fragments, remain clusters and recording logic are assembled into a single 190-second system.

02 / spatial_memory
Studio as Memory
The empty studio is not used as a simple background. Instruments, cables and negative space become a latent spatial memory that can appear, disappear and fragment.
03 / observed_process
Work in the Living Space
The browser work was repeatedly checked outside the studio. The production environment itself—including LIFE resting beside the screen—became part of the memory surrounding the piece.
04 / organic_mutation
Organic Conversion
The instruments retain their positions while human presence is removed. Trees, dead branches and new growth convert the performance space into a post-human landscape.
05 / code_body
C Language as Matter
The organic image is translated again. Characters, operators and structural fragments do not merely annotate the image; they form its physical body.
06 / browser_structure
Continuous Reorganization
Noise, image fragments, code streams, counters and system logs are distributed across the browser field. The composition is driven by elapsed time rather than random decorative numbers.
07 / archive_complete
Archive003
The completed work is placed in Archive with a unified player, synchronized visual clock, restart control and full-screen presentation. Lab004 preserves the decisions and discarded transformations that led to this state.
